How to execute an idea and not screw up?
Small ideas can generate big business, but if we are going to execute it we must be very clear about the legal aspects we must observe. Unfortunately, most of the time it is going to be the last thing to be contemplated; in many occasions, it materializes and after a while, when the first obstacle is encountered, we stop to think about the trouble we may have got into.
Before executing a business idea
Very briefly and depending on the idea, we will have to check if we are violating it:
- the rights of an earlier trademark
- of a patent or utility model
- an industrial design
- a copyright
Beware of using information that is a trade secret, and in relation to this, for those who are "inspired" by third party business ideas, here are three capital letters:
